Terms of service

Using UtilityHub — with or without an account — means you accept these terms. If you're using it on behalf of an organisation, you're confirming you have the authority to accept them for that organisation.

UtilityHub is a file workspace covering PDF, image, video/audio, web and QR tools. Most tools process files entirely in your browser and never touch a server; the rest run on our servers within the limits of your tier. Every tool page states which kind it is before you upload anything.

UtilityHub is offered on three tiers — Guest (no account), Free and Pro — with the exact limits of each published on the pricing page. We may adjust limits over time; we won't reduce what a Pro subscriber already paid for during the period they've paid for.

You can use most of UtilityHub as a Guest, with no account at all. Guest downloads for server-processed files require confirming an email address with a one-time code — this exists to prevent abuse of free server capacity, not to build a marketing list from it.

One account is for one person. Trials are limited to one per Google identity for life — this is why starting a trial requires Google sign-in rather than an email code, which can't establish that a given trial hasn't been claimed before.

You agree not to:

• Upload or process content you don't have the right to process, or that's illegal to possess or distribute.
• Attempt to circumvent quota limits, rate limits or the trial-eligibility check.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or automate access to the service outside of a published API.
• Use the e-signature tool to represent that a signature is a qualified electronic signature or has legal weight it doesn't have (see "Electronic signatures" below).

Violating these terms can result in quota restrictions, suspension, or termination, proportionate to what happened.

Pro is billed monthly (₹249) or yearly (₹1,999) through Razorpay, with 18% GST already included in both prices — nothing is added at checkout. Because Razorpay is our only payment gateway, subscribing or buying credits currently requires an Indian payment method (UPI, an Indian card, net banking or a wallet); using the product itself carries no such restriction, wherever you are.

Trial: 7 days of Pro, started with Google sign-in, no card required, one per Google identity for life. It ends automatically with no charge and no card ever on file — there is nothing to cancel.

Renewal: we send a notice before every recurring charge. If a renewal payment fails, we retry up to three times over seven days, sending a notice before each attempt; your access is unaffected throughout. Only after the final retry fails are you moved to Free — you are never suspended or locked out of files you already have.

Upgrading from Free to Pro takes effect immediately, with the prorated amount shown to you before you confirm it.

Downgrading from Pro to Free takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for — you keep Pro's limits until then, not a partial or immediate cutoff.

Cancelling is two clicks in Billing, with no retention offer or "are you sure" sequence in between. The confirmation states the exact date your access ends.

Refunds follow the separate refund policy.

Credits are a way to pay for more of what your tier already allows — an extra media job once today's are used, another document conversion — never a way to access a feature your tier doesn't include. This is enforced at the database level, not only by this sentence: attempting a feature your plan doesn't include returns a "plan required" response regardless of your credit balance, and it is a distinct response from running out of credits.

Credit packs are one-time purchases and the credits they contain never expire. If you hold both granted credits (from a plan allowance or a promotion) and purchased credits, granted credits are always spent first. When a quota is exhausted mid-task, credits are drawn automatically, and you're notified when that happens — never silently.

A dynamic QR code you create resolves through our redirect service for as long as your Pro subscription is active. If your subscription lapses, the code keeps resolving for a 90-day grace period — a printed code on a flyer or shop board can't be recalled the day a payment fails, so it doesn't stop working immediately. After the grace period, the code shows a plain explanatory page rather than a broken link. You can export any dynamic code as a static one at any time, which keeps working independently of your subscription.

You own whatever you upload or create with UtilityHub. We claim no ownership over your files, and we process them only to perform the operation you asked for, for the retention period stated in the privacy policy. You're responsible for having the rights to any file you process.

UtilityHub's signing tool captures a signature and an audit trail of the signing event (timestamp, IP, the document hash). It is not a certificate-based digital signature service and does not replace one where a certificate-based signature is legally required. Because the audit trail exists to prove a document was signed — a purpose that outlives the account that did the signing — it survives account deletion in anonymised form even though the rest of an account's data does not.

You can delete your account at any time from the account page; see the privacy policy for what that starts and how long it takes to complete. We may suspend or terminate an account for a clear violation of the acceptable-use rules above; where we do, we'll state the reason rather than leave it unexplained.

UtilityHub is provided on an "as is" basis. We work to keep the service available and your files intact within the stated retention windows, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

We'll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change materially, and notify account holders by email for changes that affect billing, cancellation or your rights over your content.
